Tulsa toll bridge: Opinion divided on need for span

Tulsa County voters also are split on whether any bridge over the Arkansas River should be toll- or tax-paid.

The heated discussion generated by a proposed Arkansas River toll bridge in south Tulsa County doesn't seem to have resolved public opinion on the matter, the most recent Oklahoma Poll indicates.

Forty-two percent of 500 likely Tulsa County voters polled July 26-28 for the Tulsa World and KOTV, Channel 6, said they do not think such a bridge is needed, while 39 percent said it is. Nineteen percent said they don't know.
