High marks on storm

Most people were pleased with the response of officials to power outages in the area.

Oklahomans give utility companies, emergency responders and support organizations high marks for their performance during the recent ice storm, according to an Oklahoma Poll.

The telephone survey of 745 likely voters, conducted Dec. 16 to 19 by SoonerPoll.com for the Tulsa World and KOTV, channel 6, returned similar numbers for all three groups, with more than 80 percent the response of each group as excellent or good.

Those numbers were similar to those from an Oklahoma Poll conducted after the January 2007 ice storm.
