Election: Propositions 1 and 5: Poll: Few support charter changes

Two highly publicized charter amendments on Tuesday's city election ballot have not found much support among voters, according to an Oklahoma Poll conducted March 25-27.

Only 29 percent of the 511 likely voters in Tuesday's election surveyed said they intend to vote for Proposition 5, which would make recall of city councilors more difficult.

Thirty percent favored Proposition 1, which would allow the City Council to hire lawyers to operate indepen dently of the city attorney's office.
